The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has projected partly cloudy conditions throughout the week, with a significant focus on the development of convective clouds. These clouds are expected to form over internal, eastern, and southern regions, bringing intermittent rainfall.

Central to this unusual weather pattern is the northward movement of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), a low-pressure area near the equator where trade winds converge. This movement, combined with an upper-level trough extending from the east and a surface low-pressure system from the south, is drawing moisture from the Sea of Oman. As temperatures rise, the eastern mountains of the UAE are catalyzing the formation of convective clouds, which are likely to result in varying intensities of rain.

Despite the forecasted rain, temperatures will remain high across the UAE. Coastal and island regions are expected to experience temperatures ranging from 42°C to 47°C, while internal areas could see temperatures soaring between 45°C and 50°C. Mountainous areas will provide some respite with predicted temperatures between 33°C and 39°C.

Winds are expected to be light to moderate, averaging speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, but could increase to 35 km/h in coastal areas. For those planning trips to the beach, the Arabian Sea and the Sea of Oman are expected to maintain slight conditions, with wave heights reaching a maximum of two feet onshore and three feet offshore.

Fujairah will be one of the cooler emirates, with maximum temperatures reaching 37°C.
